The local track was taken this afternoon so I turned todays intervals into a fartlek session... 1-1/2 mile warm-up, then 1' @ slightly faster than 5k pace, 1' RI, 2' @ slightly fast than 5k, 2' RI, 3' and 3', then back down, 3' and 3', 2' and 2', 1' and 1' and an additional 1' and 1'. Warmed down with an easy pace to 7 miles total. The sun was out in full force for these, but surprisingly didn't effect me today. I felt very good and in control of my pace at all times.... Let's hope this good karma stays with me through Saturday.
